Winter skin renewal and exfoliation

Chemical peels are an excellent choice in combating many skin imperfections, making series of treatments – “perfectly chosen” treatments for a given client. In addition, the variety of formulas, the use of different application methods, combining many procedures in the “beauty” plan, gives us unlimited possibilities to achieve satisfactory results.

A holistic approach to the client and selection of the appropriate treatment to the current condition of his skin is a reliable key to success. The use of ARKANA peels at work, which have safe formulas and the effect is visible after just one treatment, provides us with invaluable comfort.

Which peels should you choose in winter? The possibilities are endless due to the poor exposure of the skin to UV radiation during this time, which is especially important for skin with discoloration and prone to them. It is also a good time of the year to prepare the skin for anti-agning therapy with punctures, soothe inflammation, or simply a series of exfoliating treatments.

How to properly choose a chemical peel?
Before choosing a peeling, the basis is the assessment of the initial state of the skin, the patient’s expectations and his preferences regarding the procedure itself, as well as the recovery period after it. Such action ensures an individual approach to each case and therapeutic success. Before we start designing series of treatments with the use of chemical substances, it is worth taking care of comprehensive preparation of the client’s skin for acid treatment.

Acid Therapy is a specialized care, thanks to which you will prepare the skin for acid treatments and minimize the risk of irritation. We recommend washing gels: Acid Cleansing Gel and Lactobionic Micellar Gel, toners: Acid Flower Solution, Lactobionic Micellar Toner, AzAc Solution and creams: AzAc Forte 15% Cream, Glycolic Restore Cream and Mandelic Recovery Cream. These products are not only an introduction to treatments, but also stand-alone treatments to combat skin imperfections.

ARKANA winter chemical peels:
Azac Peel, Phyto Fenol Peel, Amber & Glycolic Exfoliator

Amber & Glycolic Exfoliator – peel from the Acid Therapy line. It uses the biostimulating effect of succinic and glycolic acids. The product composition includes: 50% glycolic acid, 5% succinic acid and a penetration promoter. Ideally suited as a peeling with a rejuvenating profile, and its versatility allows the use of a selected serum and mask to enrich the treatment.

Amber & Glycolic Exfoliator is an intense biostimulating peeling that can be used in many ARKANA procedures. You can combine it with the lines: Neuro Sensi Therapy, Reti Fusion Vecti + Therapy or Unitone Neuro Therapy. Especially recommended with the C-Fusion Glow line.

The procedure that uses the power of redermalizing peeling in combination with vitamin C and curcumin is a shock dose of energy and stimulation for the skin. The therapy improves the skin tone and gives it a natural glow. An additional advantage is the effect of a rested and illuminated face without the use of makeup. The procedure is recommended during lower sun exposure.

We recommend this peel for:

  1. dry, gray skin with hydrolipid disorders
  2. skin deprived of vitality and oxygen deficiency
  3. mature skin with wrinkles, devoid of elasticity and firmness
  4. smokers’ skin

Due to the strong biostimulating effect, this treatment is an excellent choice as a preparation of the skin for rejuvenating treatments.

AzAc Peel – set designed for a two-stage peel which includes: 16% azelaic acid, 10% mandelic acid, 2% salicylic acid, 4% lactic acid. It is based on the synergistic effect of carefully selected chemicals with a seborrheic, bacteriostatic and keratolytic profile.

Effectively cleanses and reduces the surface of pores, reduces redness and inflammation. It works in a directional and precise way depending on the starting condition of the skin. The above-mentioned effects are visible after just one treatment, and the application using the sandwich technique takes only 20 minutes.

The exfoliating and normalizing peeling is recommended for the face, neck, cleavage, back, and in the case of folliculitis, e.g. on the shoulders.

Recommended for year-round use:

  1. for rosacea-prone skin and acne vulgaris
  2. with increased secretion from the sebaceous glands – seborrheic skin, enlarged pores,
  3. for acne scars and post-inflammatory discoloration.
  4. It is a safe and effective alternative for people who do not tolerate retinol peels and is an excellent preparation for anti-acne and cleansing treatments. Used to assist in the treatment of acne.

Phyto Fenol Peel – set dedicated to professional treatments that lighten and eliminate the symptoms of photoaging. Due to the composition of phytoacids from the phenolic group: coffee, rosemary, ferulic, almond, salicylic and hexylresorcinol, it is a natural alternative to chemical peelings with phenol.

The treatment is effective with all types of hyperpigmentation, and to increase the lightening effect of discoloration, it can be combined with micro-stinging. Thanks to this procedure, we will obtain a smaller difference in the color of the discoloration compared to healthy skin. During the application of the acid mixture and piercing, intense redness and irritation of the skin may appear.

The application is easy and fast – it takes 30 minutes. We can modulate its intensity – we apply a minimum of 2, maximum 4 layers of peeling and leave it for 8-10 hours depending on the type and condition of the skin. After the procedure, the patient experiences skin tightness and dryness, and from day 2 to 3 it starts to peel off. After 7-10 days, a fresh layer of the epidermis is revealed, and we wait about a month for the lightening effects. We perform the treatment in the fall and winter period.

This form of exfoliation works great:

  1. when reducing the effects of photoaging,
  2. as a brightening and rejuvenating treatment

In order to maintain and prolong the effect of Phyto Fenol Peel, we recommend switching to the all-year-round Unitone Neuro Therapy brightening therapy with the Unitone Neuro Peel exfoliator based on coffee, rosemary and hexylresorcinol.

Strengthening skin care after chemical peel

Directly after long-acting peels (Azac Peel and Phyto Fenol Peel), recommend Post Treat Set to your customers. It is a package of 3 products that eliminate negative feelings after invasive treatments, ensuring proper skin regeneration after exfoliation.

Post Treat Gel regenerates and does not disturb the exfoliation process,
Extreme Regenerator rebuilds and strengthens the protective function of the epidermis,
Sun Protect Cream SPF 50+ protects against the harmful effects of solar radiation.
Make the client aware of the importance of home care – a well-chosen one can improve the appearance of the facial skin on its own. When used during in-office treatments, it will transfer even better and faster results.

Is exfoliation just exfoliation?

Today’s scrubs and series of treatments with acids are not only exfoliating therapies. Procedures with the use of chemical substances are the basis of many therapies, because they increase the penetration of active ingredients, regulate the microbiome, rebuild and rejuvenate the skin, have a dermoplastic or comedolytic effect. By using transition promoters in recipes, they allow you to get even better results without irritating the skin. Treatment sets allow us to apply the peeling for a few hours, which ensures its better bioavailability.

Exfoliation as a basis in many therapies

The exfoliation of the epidermis, stimulating, redermalizing or regulating effects are the tasks of chemical peels. With their help, we are able to create therapies for all skin types. The right number of treatments, the choice of an acid mixture, combined therapies, post-exfoliation protection and home care are all issues related to the correct work schedule. Of course, each action should be preceded by an extensive interview in order to exclude any contraindications and qualify the patient for the procedure. When choosing the right peeling, follow the indications and expectations of the patient.
