ARKANA neurocosmetics – future of effective skin care

ARKANA is a Polish brand that has been dividing its innovations in the field of professional cosmetology since 2011. Open to global innovations in the industry, we carefully follow them, but also initiate ourselves, which is reflected in innovative dermocosmetics that exceed the limits of traditional care.

Our philosophy is based on the idea of conscious beauty. We believe that individual and properly selected therapy in a beauty salon, combined with home care, is a reliable way to enjoy the visible effects of the treatment every day.

ARKANA cosmetics are produced in Poland, but their ingredients and inspiration for their creation come from all over the world. Our products are often winners of many awards and nomination. This is all thanks to the use of active substances in the treatments that have a positive effect on the functioning of the receptors.

The discussion about a new group of cosmetic products called neurocosmetics started in 2007. The result is the creation of a new group of cosmetic that are able to trigger a reaction of the central nervous system in response to the local action of cosmetics. ARKANA is a pioneer in the field of cosmetology in Poland, taking into account the implementation of recipes and neurocosmetics that affect the functioning of skin receptors.

Skin – our external brain
The skin reflects our emotional state, health and disease, youth and the passage of time. The most exposed parts of the body, the face and hands, are the most innervated. It is the first tool for getting to know the world. Thanks to neurons and receptors, it picks up signals that reach the brain. Each of us has in the skin: 800,000 neurons, 11 m of nerves, 25 neurotransmitters and 2,000 receptors per cm.

The skin is an amazing organ that acts as a bridge between the brain and the outside world. This fascinating combination is possible thanks to neurotransmitters, special chemical messengers that transmit important information, stimulating or inhibiting important life processes.

The skin is also a source of neurotransmitters, hormones and peptides previously considered the domain of the central nervous system. Research has shown that cells such as keratinocytes, melanocytes, and fibroblasts produce and secrete neurotransmitters. So far, over 200 of them have been discovered, of which 25 are in the skin. Without them, communication between the brain and the body would not work properly.

Many neurotransmitters affect well-being, appearance, proper functioning, pain sensation and muscle tension. These substances carry signals between neurons or between neurons and cells.

The functioning and appearance of the skin as an image of an organism’s health or disease
When the functioning of the body is impaired, there is either inappropriate secretion of neurotransmitters or an abnormal reaction between the receptor and the neurotransmitter. The aging process of the skin is also one of the factors that disrupt communication between nerve fibers and its cells.

Functions of neurotransmitters:

  • stimulants, such as acetylcholine, noradrenaline, adrenaline, dopamine, histamine, substance P, oxytocin
  • inhibitors, e.g. GABA, somatostatin, glycine, alanine, amines, peptides – enkephalins and some prostaglandins, endorphins, endocannabinoids, melatonin.

Effects of neurotransmitters

Neurocosmetics are currently the most innovative and effective preparations that use neurotransmitters and the natural system that connects the skin and the brain. Their operation is based on:

  • activation of skin receptors responsible for the feeling of freshness, e.g. this is how menthol and its derivatives work
  • relaxation of facial muscles and smoothing of wrinkles (e.g. Gaba, peptides, botox-like)
  • inhibiting the neuronal response to environmental stimuli: smog, air humidity or temperature changes in hypersensitive skin, e.g. peptides with neurosensory activity.
  • stimulation of neuromediators in the dermis, resulting in the production of its own neurotransmitters.

ARKANA neurocosmetics
The effectiveness and effects of neurocurrency are confirmed by beauty salons cooperating with the ARKANA brand (over 3,000 in Poland) as well as by thousands in 30 countries around the world. The argument for establishing cooperation with the Lower Silesian company was precisely – such visionary neuro-care. Thanks to this, Wrocław, where the company’s headquarters is located, is already identified on 5 continents with a synonym for development, innovative ideas and products that, in the service of beauty, also care for the health and well-being of millions of women around the world.

Each of the neurocurrencies is an innovation in itself, which is based on a unique neurotransmitter or a unique peptide that ARKANA has been looking for around the world among raw materials with clinically proven effectiveness.

ARKANA neurotherapies:

Bo2look Therapy – established in 2016, its strength is the neuropeptide XEP ™ -018, which makes the treatments can successfully compete with aesthetic treatments. using botulinum toxin and enhancing their effects. The therapy reduces the visibility of mimic wrinkles and relaxes the facial muscles. The combination of XEP ™ -018 with the HAPA-5 peptide in the Neuro Peptide Mask is a treatment with a mesobotox effect that gives an immediate rejuvenation effect.

Cannabis Therapy – this is an innovation from 2017. These were the first neurocosmetics and a professional treatment using CBD and hemp oil. A real breakthrough appreciated, among others, by by the charges of the Ewa Minge Foundation – Black Butterfllies. It was the patients of oncology wards that were the group that finally found support in the care of such sensitive skin.

Neuro GABA Therapy are neurkosmetics from 2018. The line is appreciated, among others, at the largest cosmetic fair Cosmoprof Awards 2019 for the immediate effect of rejuvenation and lifting. The GABA neurotransmitter used in it works after 10 minutes. It was used by the brand a year later in Eye Neuro Lift – a product that eliminates 6 major skin problems around the eyes, faced by over 50% of beauty salon customers.

In 2020, ARKANA added 3 innovations to the neuro treatments:

Neuro Sensi Therapy, which contains the unique SensAmone P5 neuropeptide, which is able to act on the nerve endings in the skin, reducing the sensation of pain, burning and itching. Endothelyol ™ reduces the release of inflammatory mediators, incl. secretion of histamine, which gives an anti-itching effect.

Unitone Neuro Therapy, which uses the ß-White ™ peptide that guarantees a uniform skin tone after 4 weeks, by acting on TGF-β receptors and reducing the MITF factor responsible for the melanogenesis process. The therapy works on melanocytes, which are cells of nervous origin, reducing the activity of tyrosinase and melanin synthesis.

Neuro Cananbis Therapy using the power of a new generation of active ingredients obtained from stem cells and hemp oil – is the first Polish holistic treatment that not only affects the skin, but also the senses, stimulating the synthesis of endorphins – happiness hormones. Endocannabinoid massage and the local action of the Kannabia SensePLF cosmetic stimulates oxytocin – a hormone that is produced when touched, and serotonin and dopamine – neurotransmitters that affect well-being. The skin becomes more resistant to infections by rebuilding the hydro-lipid barrier and the epidermal microbiome.

The appearance of our skin after the use of neurocosmetics
Cosmetics for a long time are not only strictly caring products, the addition of various biologically active substances, such as vitamins, means that some of them can be classified as supplements supporting treatment. The advantage of neuroxometics is their selective action, which guarantees the achievement of the desired effect as quickly as possible.

Neurocosmetics are new generation products intended for everyone, regardless of age and skin type. They work for everyone and can solve many problems. Their use in cosmetics supports rejuvenating processes, alleviating the effects of stress and the consequences of civilization diseases, and the treatment of dermatological diseases.

In dermatology, neurocosmetics support the treatments of atopic dermatitis, pruritus, acne, psoriasis and alopecia areata. In cosmetology, they are recommended for sensitive, irritable and overactive skin. They are used in the broadly understood anti-aging effect. They complement invasive aesthetic treatments and support their action, prolonging the effects.
