The main goal of dermo-aesthetic peels, both those applied within domestic care and those used in professional treatments, is to remove dead epidermis. The difference between them is that the beauty salon cosmetologist applies preparations with higher concentration of active substances. Moreover, exfoliation procedures include several stages, during which carefully selected cosmetic products and ingredients influence the skin multi-directionally. Owing to this, the effect is more rapid, long-lasting and more satisfactory. However, you cannot forget about proper domestic care. Domestic care conditions the maintenance of the achieved results. We will give you a hint about cosmetics you should reach for.
A dressing for the skin
The skin is very sensitive after invasive exfoliation procedures. It needs a dressing, which will increase its comfort and, simultaneously, intensify the effects of the procedure and accelerate its results. Pay particular attention to the composition of cosmetics applied at the time. Cosmetic products should be rich in substances with properties of easing and softening the skin, soothing irritation and reducing inflammation.
Choose cosmetics based on botanical composition. Why? Plant extracts are characterized by both strong and gentle effects. Our skin reacts to such extracts very well and, therefore, it gives in to its application easily enjoying the care and concern it receives.
The post-procedure MUST HAVE
Arkana created the Post Treat Therapy cosmetic line mainly intended for domestic care after dermo-aesthetic procedures. The cosmetic composition includes aloe with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, Shea butter and 7 herbs contributing to the creation of the BSASM herbal complex, which removes irritation and increases skin resistance. Moreover, Arkana’s cosmetologists have enriched this unique line with an active ingredient, i.e. Amisoft, an amino acid derivative distinguished by its softening and moisturizing properties, and with Antileukine 6 perfectly reducing itching and burning sensation of the skin.
Change your habits after the procedure to achieve beautiful results!
The exfoliation procedure will only give results if you follow several basic rules for a while after the procedure. Do not tear off the exfoliating epidermis immediately after the procedure and do not use oily preparations with exfoliating properties because your skin needs some rest and relaxation now. Choose a gentle make-up removing powder and soothing liquid complementing cleansing. The skin may also be treated with a post-procedure gel. Specialized post-procedure ointment will be equally valuable as regards soothing the skin and will also work perfectly for everyday lip care.
Do not apply make-up burdening the skin, let it rest and breathe, without exposing it to irritating ingredients.
Moreover, sunbathing does not do any good to the skin after the exfoliation procedure. UV radiation protection is not only recommended but necessary, so, when you go outside, you have to remember about applying SPF 50+ filter cream. Sensitive and irritated skin is defenceless when it is exposed to the sun and so it needs effective support.
Do not go to the swimming-pool or take a sauna for two weeks following the procedures. Sweating and chlorine contribute to the loss of epidermal moisture very necessary at the time. Remember that the success of exfoliation procedures is intensified by their regularity and applying a few series of procedures individually adjusted to your complexion needs is recommended.
Your skin will say a beautiful thank you to you for making these sacrifices!
